(Figs. 42, 67 E–F, 72)
Etymology. The name refers to the color of the antennae (L. rufus, reddish; L. fuscus, dark).
Material examined. Holotype female. BRAZIL, Pará: Marituba, 23-VI-1961, J. & B. Bechyné (MPEG).
Measurements (n= 1). Total length: 18.2; head length: 2.2; head width: 3.3; pronotum length: 3.4; pronotum width: 13.0; scutellum length: 8.4; scutellum width: 6.4; abdominal width: 10.3; length antennomeres: I: 1.0; II: 1.6; III: 2.0; IV: 4.0.
Diagnosis. Large (18.2 mm). Dorsal body surface green (Fig. 67 E). Ventral surface dark yellow to green with transversal green bands on thorax and abdomen (Fig. 67 F). Antennae with first brown segment and second to fifth dark brown segment (Fig. 67 E–F). Pronotum with concolorous with the surrounding surface punctures (Fig. 67 E); anterolateral margin with a yellow band extending from the humeral angles to the head. Humeral angles short (1.2 times wider than long); apex with brown spot restricted to the angles in dorsal view; slightly curved backward (Fig. 67 E–F). Scutellum with concolorous with the surrounding surface punctures; apex not reaching the end of coria (Fig. 67 E). Coria with all veins concolorous with the surrounding surface (Fig. 67 E). Connexival segments with concavities entirely covered by rectangular green spot separated by a large yellow median spot (Fig. 67 E), spots extending ventrally and forming green bands on the abdomen (Fig. 67 F). Posterolateral angles of connexivum with apices green (Fig. 67 E). Ventral surface, thorax with green bands; band of the propleura connected to the dark spot of the humeral angles (Fig. 67 F). Evaporatorium concolorous with the surrounding surface; peritreme straight (Fig. 67 F). Metasternal process (Fig. 42 B) with arms of anterior bifurcation rounded and laterally barely expanded at apex; anterior bifurcation somewhat excavated receiving fourth rostral segment. Legs reddish brown (Fig. 67 F). Abdomen with spine of segment III acuminated (Fig. 67 F). Intersegmental areas covered by narrow brown bands with adjacent smudged green band, reaching the lateral spots (Fig. 67 F). Pseudosutures concolorous with the surrounding surface (Fig. 67 F). Median longitudinal brown band incomplete (Fig. 67 F). Trichobothria both parallel to the spiracle. Posterolateral angles of segment VII exceeding the level of apices of laterotergites IX, almost reaching the level of apices of laterotergites VIII (Fig. 42 A). Male genitalia. Unknown. Female genitalia, valvifers VIII subrectangular, with concolorous with the surrounding surface punctures; medially near the sutural margin with a brown spot, contiguous and not divergent; posterior margin forming a U-shaped excavation. Laterotergites VIII with two dark spots on the lateral margins. Laterotergites IX with apices acuminate, slightly projected laterally, passing the mediotergite VIII (Fig. 42 A).
