Agonocryptus fumosus: Yu et al., 2006 . Catalog.

Variation. Clypeus and mandible mostly reddish brown (vs. black); vertex, supra-antennal area and gena with reddish brown marks (vs. black); mid and hind coxae apically blackish (Fig. 6G) (vs. reddish brown); hind femur entirely blackish (Figs 6F–G) (vs. reddish brown, apically black); hind t1 basal 0.4–0.7 and hind t3–5 or t4–5 black (vs. basal half of hind t1 and hind t5 black); second recurrent vein meeting areolet at apical 0.4 (vs. 0.3); T1 apically or mostly blackish (Figs 6E–G) (vs. reddish brown); T2 basally orange (vs. black); hind trochanters mostly or entirely reddish brown (vs. black); ovipositor tip with 6–8 teeth (vs. 5). Specimens from Santa Teresa (southeastern Brazil) and Distrito Federal (central Brazil) with clypeus pale yellow (Fig. 6B) (vs. black) and wide orbital band (Fig. 6B) (vs. narrow).

Distribution. Argentina, and Brazil (Distrito Federal NR, Espírito Santo NR, Rio Grande do Sul NR, Santa Catarina) (Fig. 19A). Bootstrap analysis suggests that this species occurs typically between 100–500 m, like most Agonocryptus spp. (Fig. 21F).
