Type locality. Japan, off Tago, 75 m.

Distribution. Japan, Hong Kong (Van Belle 1982) and Xisha Islands (Huang & Xu 1964).

Remarks. This rare chiton was found sporadically in the studied area in Hong Kong and Xisha Islands.
