COMMENTS: Wenzel and Haltenorth (1972) speculated that this taxon may be conspecific with auropunctatus (= javanicus); whereas Ewer (1973), based on Ghose's observation that palustris can emit scent similiar to urva speculated on such a relationship to urva .
