STATUS: IUCN - Insufficiently known.

COMMENTS: Placed in Pseudalopex by Berta (1988) and in Dusicyon by Cabrera (1958). Considered in Canis (Pseudalopex) by Langguth (1975) and Van Gelder (1978).
