General distribution. Palearctic (reaches the Polar Circle).

Comments. On tobacco ( Solanaceae), Medicago sativa (Fabaceae) (Farahbakhsh 1961), Asteraceae and Fabaceae (Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1998), and in cotton fields (Ghahari et al. 2011).

Note. Corizus hyoscyami nigridorsum Puton, 1874 from West Mediterranean basin, formerly considered as a valid species, is now treated as subspecies despite subtile but regular genitalic differences between these taxa.
