Microstomidae Luther, 1907

At least two species of the taxon Microstomum Schmidt, 1848 were observed, one with and one without trophically derived cnidarian nematocytes. The species could not be identified, since all individuals were sterile and reproducing by fission. Both species occurred in various sites in the Ria Formosa, often together.
