Family Plakinidae Schulze, 1880

Definition: Homosclerophorida with siliceous spicules, when present, represented by diods, triods and/or calthrops; aquiferous system sylleibid or leuconoid, made up of eurypylous or aphodal choanocyte chambers (Ruiz et al. 2017, Lage et al. 2018b).
