Nyctimenius mamutensis (Hayashi, 1975) comb. nov.

Pothyne mamutensis Hayashi, 1975: 191 (type locality: “Mamut Mine, Southeast base of Mt. Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo”), pl. 4, fig. 30; Mizuno & Shiyake 2004: 44, pl. 16, fig. 400 (holotype); Heffern, 2005: 46.

Comments. This species has evident characters of Nyctimenius, and is thus transferred from Pothyne to Nyctimenius .

Specimens examined. Holotype: male (OMNH), Mamut Mine, 1500m, S.E. base of Mt. Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, 18–21. III. 1970, Y. Nishikawa leg. (handwriting on a green rectangular label in black ink)/ Pothyne mamutensis Hayashi (handwriting on a red rectangular label with black borders and “ HOLOTYPE ” in black ink)/ M. Hayashi Coll. OMNH [98–32] (printed on a green rectangular label in black ink, “98–32” means thirty-second acceptance of specimens to OMNH in 1998).

Distribution. Malaysia (Sabah).
