From all morphological aspects from the generic diagnosis, Pachyschelus circumdatus belongs to Hylaeogena . During the comparison of the holotype of H. circumdata from BMNH and the syntypes of H. achardi from NMPC, no significant differences were found, and these two species are considered to be conspecific.
