Uaiuara jayuyae (Petrunkevitch, 1930) comb. nov.
Pseudosparianthis jayuyae Petrunkevitch, 1930: 25, figs 16–18 (Holotype immature from Puerto Rico, Jayuya [18.2186, - 66.5916], 31 December 1925, PMNH, not examined).
Note. Uaiuara jayuyae is known solely from a juvenile specimen. Nevertheless, the original description and illustrations clearly place it within the genus Uaiuara, especially the coloration pattern of the dorsal habitus and the presence of nine pairs of ventral spines on tibiae I–II. To date, Uaiuara is the only Neotropical Sparianthinae genus with more than three pairs of spines on ventral tibiae I–II.
