Type locality. England (“Habitat in Angliae fabuletis Dom. Francillon”).

Material examined. None.

Identity. Aethes francillana (Fabricius) ( Tortricinae, Cochylini) (Razowski 1962).

Remarks. The taxonomic identity of this species is mixed with that of Aethes dilucidana (Stephens, 1852) in the old literature.
