Current name: Aspalathus ericifolia L. ( Fabaceae: Faboideae).

Note: Specific epithet spelled “ericefolia” in the protologue. Dahlgren (in Opera Bot. 10(1): 25. 1965) indicated 893.15 (LINN) only as "orig. coll.", but clarified this to “type” in 1988.
