Current name: Adiantum pulverulentum L. var. caudatum Jenman ( Pteridaceae).

Note: Lellinger (in Mem. New York Bot. Gard. 23: 14. 1972) indicated unspecified and unseen material in Herb. Sloane (BM-SL) as type but this would in any case not have been seen by Linnaeus and could not be original material for the name.
