Lectotype (Jonsell in Jarvis & al., Regnum Veg. 127: 20. 1993): Herb. Clifford: 335, Arabis 1 (BM-000646327) .

Generitype of Arabis Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 171. 1929).

Current name: Arabis alpina L. ( Brassicaceae).

Note: Jonsell (in Polhill, Fl. Trop. E. Africa, Cruciferar. 47. 1982) wrongly indicated the post-1753842.1 (LINN) as lectotype, and Talavera & Velayos (in Anales Jard. Bot. Madrid 50: 146. 1992) restricted this to the central of the three specimens on the sheet. However, none of these specimens is original material for the name and Jonsell (1993) therefore rejected his earlier choice, replacing it with a Clifford sheet.
