Lectotype (Schrire in Turland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 463. 1997): " Aspalathus 5 folia ", Herb. Burman (G) .

Current name: Aspalathus quinquefolia L. ( Fabaceae: Faboideae).

Note: Dahlgren (in Leistner, Fl. Southern Africa 16(3:6): 31. 1988) indicated Herb. Linn. No. 295.19 (S) as the lectotype, but this is not original material as it lacks any annotation by Linnaeus.
