Current name: Aegilops caudata L. ( Poaceae).

Note: Scholz & van Slageren (in Taxon 43: 393. 1994) reviewed the history of the name and proposed it for conservation with a conserved type, as all original elements belonged to taxa other than that to which the name had been generally applied. However, the Committee for Spermatophyta (in Taxon 45: 675. 1996) did not recommend conservation.
