Lectotype (Ling in Jarvis & Turland in Taxon 47: 353. 1998): Herb. Clifford: 403, Artemisia 4 (BM-000647022) .

Current name: Artemisia abrotanum L. ( Asteraceae).

Note: Gabrielian & Chandjian (in Novosti Sist. Vyssh. Rast. 23: 208. 1986), treated both 988.7 and 988.8 (LINN) as the type. As these sheets do not appear to be part of a single gathering, Art. 9.15 does not apply, and Ling’s type choice of Clifford material is accepted.
