Note: Gagnepain (in Bull. Soc. Bot. France 50: 357. 1903) discussed the name and Hepper (in Kew Bull. 21: 130. 1967) informally rejected it, a course of action supported by Burtt & Smith (in Notes Roy. Bot. Gard. Edinburgh 31: 180. 1972). However, no formal proposal for the rejection of the name has been made.
