Current name: Asplenium sp. ( Aspleniaceae).

Note: Morton (in Contr. U. S. Natl. Herb. 38: 292. 1974) regarded the cited Plumier plate to be so stylised as to be more or less unidentifiable. Lellinger & Proctor (in Taxon 32: 567. 1983) stated incorrectly that it "is the entire protologue" before Proctor (1989) treated it explicitly as the type.
