Anagallis caerulea Linnaeus, Amoenitates Academicae 4: 479. 1759.

Neotype (Burtt in Kollmann & Feinbrun in Notes Roy. Bot. Gard. Edinburgh 28: 174, 185. 1968): [icon] " Anagallis foemina " in Dodoëns, Stirp. Hist. Comment. Imag.: 61. 1553.

Current name: Anagallis arvensis L. subsp. arvensis var. caerulea (L.) Gouan ( Primulaceae).

Note: As noted by Stearn (in Geck & Pressler, Festschr. Claus Nissen: 635. 1974), this name is validated by reference to Magnol’s Botanicum Monspeliense. As Burtt’s chosen type is not directly cited by Magnol, his type choice is treated as a neotypification.
