Alchemilla alpina Linnaeus var. hybrida Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 123. 1753.
"Habitat in Alpibus Europae." RCN: 1016.
Basionym of: Alchemilla hybrida (L.) L. (1756) .
Lectotype ( Fröhner in Cafferty & Jarvis in Taxon 51: 541. 2002): [icon] " Alchimilla alpina pubescens minor " in Plukenet, Phytographia: t. 240, f. 2. 1692; Almag. Bot.: 18. 1696. - Typotype: Herb. Sloane 95: 22 (BM-SL) .
Current name: Alchemilla hybrida (L.) L. ( Rosaceae).
Note: Bradshaw & al. (in Watsonia 5: 261, f. 1, pl. 11a. 1962) treated Plukenet material in Herb. Sloane vol. 95: 22 (BM) as the holotype, incorrectly, as it was neither seen by Linnaeus nor was it the sole element. However, the material is the basis for the cited Plukenet illustration, and the latter was formally designated as lectotype by Fröhner .
