Lectotype (Fillias & al. in Taxon 29: 150. 1980): Herb. Linn. No. 1117.14, right specimen (LINN) .

Current name: Amaranthus blitum L. ( Amaranthaceae).

Note: Brenan & Townsend (in Taxon 29: 695. 1980) proposed the rejection of A. blitum . However, the Committee for Spermatophyta (in Taxon 33: 298. 1984) declined to recommend the proposal.
