Type Locality: "High altitudes on Mt. Kilima-njaro, frequenting the highest points" (Tanzania, Mt. Kilimanjaro; at 2400 m according to Grimshaw et al., 1995).

Vernacular Names: Abbott's Duiker.

Distribution: Highlands of NE and C Tanzania.

Conservation: IUCN – Vulnerable.

Discussion: Possibly a subspecies of silvicultor (Haltenorth, 1963:71) .
