Trimeroptes luanchuanensis sp. nov.

shield with broad frontal lobe; smooth. Dorsal tubercles ahead of rear margin, 30 apart, scapular setae (sc) 17 projecting forwards. Sternal line present. Coxal area with short lines; anterolateral setae on coxisternum I (1b) 15, proximal setae on coxisternum I (1a) 20, proximal setae on coxisternum II (2a) 30. Legs I 45 long, femur 15, basiventral femoral setae (bv) absent; genu 6 long, antaxial genual setae (l'') 35 long; tibia 13, paraxial tibial setae (l') 7, setae located 2/3 from dorsal base; tarsus 7 long; tarsal empodium divided, each 3­rayed, tarsal solenidion knobbed. Legs II 40 long, femur 11, basiventral femoral setae (bv) absent; genu 5 long, antaxial genual setae (l'') 10 long; tibia 10; tarsus 7 long; tarsal empodium divided, each 3­rayed, tarsal solenidion knobbed. Opisthosoma dorsally with about 38 smooth annuli, ventrally with about 66 microtuberculate annuli. Setae c2 20 on ventral annulus 14; setae d 35 on ventral annulus 26; setae e 15 on ventral annulus 44; setae f 23 on 9th ventral annulus from rear. Setae h1 absent. Female genitalia 20 long, 30 wide, coverflap with 14 longitudinal ridges at base, proximal setae on coxisternum III (3a) 10 long.

Male: Unknown.

Types: Holotype, female, China: Henan Province, Luanchuan county, Longyuwan. July 21, 2004, from Rubus sp. ( Rosaceae), coll. Xue Xiao­Feng. Paratypes, 4 females, with the same data as holotype.

Relation to host: Vagrant on leaf undersurface.

Etymology: The species is named after the name of collected location, Luanchuan county.

Remarks: This species is similar to Trimeroptes rubi Bagdasarian, 1976, but can be differentiated by coxal area with short lines (smooth in T. rubi), empodium divided, each 3­rayed (4­rayed in T. rubi).
