15. Epidendrum ovatilabium Hágsater, E. Santiago et Edquén, (2022: t. 1930:). (Figure 9E).

Type:— PERU. Amazonas: Prov. Chachapoyas: Distr. Granada, comunidad campesina de Diosán, sector Canchi, 3100 m, 22 October 2018, J . D. Edquén 816, (holotype: HURP!)

Distribution:— Peru, in the departments of Amazonas and San Martín. Known only from northern Peru, within the Alto Mayo protection forest, inhabiting humid montane ecosystems.

Notes:— Epidendrum ovatilabium is similar to E. constricolumna but is distinguished by the narrowly elliptic lip (vs. orbicular lip), the 4–8 flowers (vs.3–4 flowers), and the sepals 12–12.5 mm long, oblong-oblanceolate, strongly falcate (vs. 8 mm long, oblong-elliptic, oblique). It is also similar to E. vesicolumna, but that species has the lip transversely elliptic, the sepals oblique but not falcate, and the column constricted near the apex.

Conservation Status:— DD. Data deficient.
