Halone ariadna Bucsek, 2012, Erebidae, Arctiinae of Malay Peninsula-Malaysia: 85, pl. 15: 212. TL: Malay Peninsula (Cam-

eron Highlands, Pahang Dist.).

Diagnosis. Length of the forewing 8˗9 mm in both sexes. Halone ariadna Bucsek differs from other allied species by having the thorax dark brown; white ochreous forewing with dark brown basal band; dark brown medial patch of costal area elongated horizontally; series of three dark brown terminal rounded patches (Figs. 1a ˗d); in male genitalia (Fig. 3), valva irregularly rectangular, with strongly sclerotized edge and a long (almost same length with uncus), spine˗shaped processes at the base of costa; aedeagus tapered towards weakly sclerotized distal end and vesica with two stout, spine˗shaped cornuti and scobination; in female genitalia (Fig. 4), ductus bursae wrinkle, weakly sclerotized; corpus bursae ovoid, heavily covered with short spines in first half of bursae.

Distribution. Laos (Bolikhamsai Prov.), Vietnam (Hue Prov.), Cambodia (Koh Kong, Mondulkiri, Pursat Prov.), Malay Peninsula (Pahang Prov.).

Remarks. This species is newly recorded in Laos (Bolikhamsai Prov.) and Vietnam (Hue Prov.). In Cambodia, it was reported from Koh Kong Prov. by Bucsek (2012) and from Mondulkiri and Pursat Prov. by Bae et al. (2016).
