Genus Paratrichia Angrisano

This genus was previously monotypic. It was erected originally as a subgenus to include P. cebollati Angrisano 1995, with the same status of Metrichia and Ochrotrichia, that were both considered subgenera of the genus Ochrotrichia at that time. As a consequence of the elevation of the taxonomical status of Metrichia and Ochrotrichia, it was proposed the elevation of Paratrichia to generic level (Angrisano 2002).
