Genus Chilotrogus Reitter, 1905
Chilotrogus Reitter, 1905: 203 . Type species: Chilotrogus panotrogoides Reitter, 1905 by monotypy.
Diagnosis. Elongate, sometimes wholly or partly pruinous, without any cerosity. Dark. Most often glabrous in appearance, rarely pilose. Body somewhat widened posteriad. Antennae with 10 antennomeres, with club trimerous. Clypeus strong, elongated, slightly transverse, anteriorly reflexed. Labrum transverse, bilobed, with angular lateral margins. Clypeus and frons in the same plane. Vertex without carina. Tarsal claws basally dented. Metatarsus II longer than metatarsus I. Protibiae bi- or tridentate. Base of pronotum not margined. Sides of the pronotum at least partially crenulate. Ventral side with dense pilosity, longer and erected on thoracic segments, shorter and adpressed on ventrites. Parameres longitudinally emarginate up to the base, with a small well sclerified internal piece.
