Biology: The white to yellow larvae develop in partly unfolded, young leaves at the tip of a shoot on Betula pendula and B. pubescens ( Betulaceae). Our records are all from Betula pubescens . Generally, univoltine. Pupation and hibernation in the soil.

Distribution: Widespread in Europe including Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
