Genus Panningia Cherbonnier, 1958
Diagnosis (after Cherbonnier 1958). Body curved, sometimes U-shaped; tube feet restricted to the radii. Tentacles 10, either of equal size or the ventralmost two reduced. Calcareous ring compact with short posterior projections. Deposits of the body wall large perforated imbricating plates, often knobbed, with usually one end drawn out into a long extension held obliquely at an angle to the main body of the plate.
