Type Locality: Thailand, Saraburi Province, Kaengkhoi Dist., "outside the entrance to the bat cave, half-way up the face of a wooded limestone cliff, 200 meters altitude." .
Vernacular Names: Limestone Niviventer.
Distribution: Endemic to Korat Plateau in Thailand (J. T. Marshall, Jr.; specimens in AMNH and USNM).
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (nt).
Discussion: See Musser (1981 b) for discussion of original citation. A very distinctive species (the only one with buffy underparts) that is morphometrically most closely related to N. fulvescens (Musser and Lunde, ms).
