Bryocoris Fallén, 1829: 151 . Type species: Capsus pteridis Fallén, 1807 (by monotypy).

The genus currently contains ten fern-feeding species predominantly distributed in southern China and Taiwan. Only two species have relatively wide ranges, B. gracilis Linnavuori, 1962 known from southern China to Japan and New Guinea, and B. pteridis Fallén, 1807 widely distributed in the forest zone of the Palearctic Region (Hu & Zheng 2000; Konstantinov & Knyshov, 2015).
