Proclithrophorus Tobias & Belokobylskij, 1981

Proclithrophorus Tobias & Belokobylskij, 1981: 79 .

Type species: Proclithrophorus mandibularis Tobias & Belokobylskij, 1981: 80 .

Additional diagnosis

Antenna with 20–24 antennomeres, F2 1.1–1.3 × longer than F3; mandible 1.0–1.7 × longer than height of head, with deep wide incision between tooth 1 and tooth 2.

Note: other generic characters were summarized by Chen & van Achterberg (1997). Chen & van Achterberg (1997) described the labial palp with 3 segments while Shaw (1985) described it with 2 segments which are same as we have described for P. gaoligongensis . As for the malar space, Shaw (1985) stated that it is virtually absent, but both Chen & van Achterberg (1997) and Belokobylskij (2000) illustrated its presence which is same as we have described for P. gaoligongensis . These two characters might not therefore be useful as generic characters.

Distribution. China (Jilin, Yunnan), Finland (Pudasjärvi), Russian Far East (Spassk).

Biology. Unknown.
