Sinella sacellum sp. nov.
Figs 4, 47–58
Types. Holotype: female on slide, China: Guizhou: Bijie: television Tower, outside a temple, 19.viii.2012, Z.-H. Zhou leg. (sample number L6026). Paratypes: 2 females on slide, same data as holotype.
Description. Body length up to 1.63 mm. Body white (Fig. 4).
Antenna 1.7 times as long as cephalic diagonal. Antennal segments ratio as I: II: III: IV = 1: 1.73: 1.36: 2.82. Smooth spiny mic at base of antennae 3 dorsal, 3 ventral on Ant.I, 1 internal, 1 external and 2 ventral on Ant.II. Long smooth straight chaetae absent. Two internal S of Ant.III organ rod-like, not expanded.
Omma 1+1. Papilla E with 4 guard chaetae; lateral process of labial palp much thicker than normal chaetae (Fig. 48). Labial chaetae smooth; R/M=0.7–0.8; chaetae X and X4 as smooth spiny mic; chaeta X2 absent. Cephalic groove with 8 chaetae, anterior four smooth and others ciliate. Dorsal cephalic chaetotaxy with 4 median (M) mac. Six clypeal chaetae smooth (Fig. 49).
Trochanteral organ with 14–16 smooth spiny chaetae; 10 in arms and 4–6 between them. Partial inner differentiated tibiotarsal chaetae apparently “smooth” with ciliations closely appressed to axis. Most distal whorl with 10 ciliate chaetae. Unguiculus outer edge with a large tooth. Tenent hairs pointed, subequal to unguiculus in length (Fig. 50). Abd.IV 2.9 times as Abd.III in length along dorsal midline. Ventral tube anteriorly with 7+7 ciliate chaetae (Fig. 51); posteriorly with about 13 smooth chaetae; each lateral flap with 8 smooth chaetae (Fig. 52). Manubrium without smooth straight chaetae, most distal part with 5+5 anterior and 4+4 posterior ciliate chaetae in a row. Manubrial plaque with 2 pseudopores and 3 ciliate chaetae. Distal smooth part of dens 1.2 times of mucro in length. Mucronal basal spine short with tip reaching the subapical tooth; apical tooth longer than subapical one (Fig. 53).
Th.II with 3 medio-medial (m1, m2, m 2i), 3 medio-lateral (m4, m 4i, m4p) and about 18 posterior mac (Fig. 54). Th.III with 27 mac (Fig. 55). Abd.I with 7 (m2–4, a2, a3, m 2i, m4p) mac. Abd.II with 3 (m3, m3e, m3ep) central and 1 (m5) lateral mac. Abd.III with 1 (m3) central, 3 (am6, pm6, p6) lateral mac, 1 ms and 2 s-chaetae (Fig. 56). Abd.IV with 6 central (I, M, A4, A6, B4–5) and 4 lateral mac (F1, E2–4); most s-chaetae much longer than those on anterior terga but their number not clearly seen (Fig. 57). Abd.V with 3 s-chaetae (Fig. 58).
Ecology. Under bricks and stones.
Etymology. Named after the type locality “ sacellum ” (small temple).
Remarks. This new species is close to S. sunae Pan, Zhang & Shi, 2012 in Ant.III organ, 1+1 omma, labial chaetae, cephalic, thoracic and And.II–III chaetotaxy, but differs from the latter in short mucronal basal spine, pointed tenent hairs, ventral tube, 7+7 mac on Abd.I, and 6+6 central mac on Abd.IV It is also similar to S. monoculata Denis, 1929 and differs from it by pointed tenent hairs and shorter smooth part of dens.
