Macropes varipennis (Walker, 1872) New record to China

Ischnodemus varipennis Walker, 1872, Cat. Hem. Het. B. M. 5, 131.

The dorsal view of body and the paramere of this species are shown in Slater and Wilcox (1973) and Slater et al. (1969). The pygophore opening is as in Fig. 3 H.

Material examined. China: 2 males and 1 female, Mengla, Yunnan, 17. IX. 1979, 650 m, Leyi Zheng; 2 males and 5 females, Mengla, Yunnan, 17. IX. 1979, Huanguang Zou; 3 males and 1 female, Mengla, Yunnan, 16–25. IX. 1979, Jianxin Cui; 2 males, Mengla, Yunnan, 24. IX. 1979, Zuopei Ling.

Distribution. China: Yunnan; Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam.
