Note: See discussion by Gutermann & al. (in Österr . Bot. Zeitschr. 122: 266-267. 1973). Mennema (in Leiden Bot. Ser. 11: 36. 1989) incorrectly regarded G. galeobdolon as the basionym of Lamium galeobdolon L. (Amoen. Acad. 4: 485. 1759), an invalid name.
