Generitype of Guettarda Linnaeus.

Current name: Guettarda speciosa L. ( Rubiaceae).

Note: Verdcourt (1991) restricted the earlier type choice that he had made with Wong (1988) by excluding the fruiting element mounted on Herb. Linn. No. 1121.1 (LINN).
