Current name: Genista scorpius (L.) DC. ( Fabaceae: Faboideae).

Note: López González (in Taxon 45: 699. 1996) proposed the name for conservation with a conserved type in order to restore the use of the name in its pre-1984 sense. However, this proposal was not recommended by the Committee for Spermatophyta (in Taxon 48: 364. 1999).
