Remarks: Mumiola gradatula (Figs. 48−50) has been reported from northeast Brazil by Rios (1994), as well as from other localities in the western Atlantic (e.g., Jong and Coomans, 1988; Redfern, 2001) as Chrysallida toroensis . Rissoa gradatula is an older, valid name, according to Faber (2005: figs. 4, 7) who illustrated its holotype, and should be allocated to the pyramidellid genus Mumiola . Herein, we illustrate the holotype of Rissoa toroensis (Fig. 48) and a shell from Brazil (Figs. 49−50).

The known geographical range of M. gradatula is now enlarged to southeast Brazil, off the state of Espírito Santo (≅19°S).
