Remarks: Boonea jadisi (Figs. 3−8) has a wide geographical range in the western Atlantic, from Florida (Wise 2001) to Uruguay (Figueiras & Sicardi 1974). In Brazil, it has been recorded from the northeast coast (Mello & Perrier 1986; Barros 1994a; Rios 1994). The present study adds records from the Rio de Janeiro coast (southeast Brazil, ≅23o S).
Forcelli (2000) stated that Odostomia multituberculata Castellanos, 1982 from Argentina is similar to B. jadisi and could be a synonym. However, the original drawing of O. multituberculata and also the photo in Forcelli (2000) show a shell with conical outline, quite different from the pupoid shell of B. jadisi .
