Type localities. Iran, Golestan Province, Gorgan, ( Zacheus hyrcanus) ; Iran, Gilan Province, Lahidjan ( Platybunus pusillus) ; Iran Tehran Province, Tehran ( Metadasylobus dentichelis) .
Material examined. IRAN: North Khorasan Province: 1 male, 3 females (ZMMU), 10 km NW of Dasht Village, 37°22’5.96”N, 55°56’40.57”E, 800–900 m a.s.l., Denis Kasatkin leg. 27.5.2017 . Golestan Province: 4 males, 14 females (RCNS), Shast Kalateh, 36°46’N, 54°11’E, 483 m a.s.l., Razieh Rafiei-Jahed leg. November 2017 .
Records from Iran. Gilan, Golestan, Kermanshah, Markazi, Mazandaran, Tehran, West Azerbaijan (Snegovaya et al. 2018), North Khorasan (present paper) .
Distribution. An endemic of Iran.
Comment. When Staręga (1973) transferred Phalangium hyrcanum Thorell, 1876 to the genus Rilaena, he also recognized Zacheus hyrcanus Redikorzev, 1936 as a member of Rilaena but not as the same species as Thorell’s. Therefore he substituted R. pusilla for the pre-occupied R. hyrcana (Redikorzev, 1936) and he wrote (in German): One has to call the treated species “ pusilla ” because the older name of Redikorzev is pre-occupied.
