Cephennium silvai group
This group includes C. silvai from Portugal and at least one undescribed species from Alicante (Spain). It is distinguished from other groups recorded from the Iberian Peninsula by a small, slender, moderately convex (cross-section), and bicoloured body, elytra with distinct and long supra-humeral carinae, unmodified male protibiae, and a robust aedeagus with large, but weakly sclerotized internal structures and with thin parameres apically reaching the apex of the median lobe and with short apical seta.
