Biology.
Reared from nests of Vespa, Vespula, Dolichovespula and Provespa spp. ( Vespinae: Vespidae); the larva of at least one species has a final ectoparasitoid phase (Carmean and Kimsey 1998) after the initial endoparasitoid phase. Collected in August–October .
Distribution.
East Palaearctic, Nearctic (but intruding Central America by reaching SW Mexico), Oriental.
