Tropidozineus Monné & Martins, 1976: 66; Monné, 1991: 127 (rev.); 2005: 142 (cat.); 2012: 76. Type-species: Ozineus torquatus Melzer, 1931 (by original designation).

Tropidozineus albidus Monné, 2009 was the only species of this genus mentioned from Bolivia (Monné, 2009), and differs from the two species herein described mainly by the coloration of pubescence of the elytra, with a longitudinal white patch from scutellum to elytral apex and a large postmedian black spot.
