Distribution in mainland China: New record for mainland China, YN, Xishuangbanna, 23km NW Jinghong vic. Na Ban (NNNK), 22˚09.49’N 100˚39.92’E, 26.iii.2009, L.Z. Meng (3) (NME).

Other distribution. Japan, Taiwan (Borowski & Węgrzynowicz 2007).

Biology. Large numbers of individuals were bred from a pile of branches and twigs of Cinnamomum sp. (Lauraceae) from southeast Taiwan (Liu et al. 2008b). Liu et al. (2008b) reported details of the larvae, pupa, prepupa and the gallery system.
