Distribution in mainland China: Unspecified locality in mainland China (Borowski and Węgrzynowicz 2012).

Other distribution. Palearctic regions (Borowski and Węgrzynowicz 2012). Introduced to Taiwan, Canada (Liu & Geis 2019).

Biology. Quercus (Fagaceae), Robinia (Leguminosae), Fraxinus (Oleaceae) and Vitis (Vitaceae) have been recorded as the host plants (Liu & Geis 2019). This species is indexed in the latest Red List of Endangered Species of Germany as ”threatened with extinction“ (category 1) (Liu & Geis 2019).
