[[ Chromidotilapia regani]]

The remaining Chromidotilapia ^ZBK in Gabon, C. regani (Pellegrin, 1906), seems not to have a closer relative species within the genus in Gabon. A high number of gill rakers on the first branchial arch and pigmentation patterns differentiate this species from all other Chromidotilapia ^ZBK in Gabon, but suggest a closer relationship to C. guntheri (Lamboj, 2003 in press).
