Distribution. Mediterranean Sea, Sea of Marmara, Black Sea, Sea of Azov, eastern Atlantic: southern Spain and Portugal.

Conservation. IUCN: Global (LC: 12 March 2014); Med. (LC: 16 November 2007). Capture and threats: Unknown. Occurrence: Unknown. Low priority for conservation action.
