Distribution. Circumglobal in tropical and warm temperate seas (including Mediterranean Sea)

Conservation. IUCN: Global (LC: 7 June 2011). Capture and threats: Unknown. Occurrence: Common. Significant increase in the last two decades. Non-indigenous species, no conservation action needed .
